P90X – Second Round

I’m going to do a second round of P90X, only this time I’m going to keep a blog, a running tally if you will, of everyday I work or my thoughts.  I figured that if I’m experiencing it, then chances are that someone else out there is too.

Brief history…

I started my first round of P90X in February 2009 and finished in May.  I lost 25 lbs and 7% bodyfat.  Pretty good, eh?!  Then I worked out on my own with weights, running, rollerblading, basketball, you name it, I did it.  I then traveled with my family for a while.  My daughter is a dancer and she travels for competitions, so I could miss those!

Then Insanity came out and I wanted to try it.  I did the first month of it, but stopped because my second daughter was born.  I thought that I would be able to continue to work out… boy had I forgotten how much time a baby takes!!!  Holy crap!

Long story short, I worked out when I had the chance, but I was never able to keep to a schedule. I’m still 180-185, but a softer version of it.

She’ll be 7 months at the end of May, and I told my wife, “I don’t care how difficult it is, I’m going to do P90X again!  I will make time!”

I am sick and tired of not being as fit as I want to be.  My buddy told me that I was just making excuses.  He’s probably right, but then again he doesn’t have kids, so he just doesn’t understand.  🙂 (inside joke)

FIT TEST DAY – Monday 5/24/2010

My results were definitely better then the first time I took it, but not as good as I had hoped.  But let me tell ya – I pushed it and forgot how hard it was!

Let this be a lesson to all of you… Once you get fit, don’t let it slip! It sucks!

Trust me!  You don’t want to go through all of that pain again.  It’s much easier to maintain it!
